Electric Cars... are they as green as they seem?

Guess what? Electric cars such as Tesla's do have an exhaust...

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (ELA for short) in 2018, about 4,171 billion kilowatthours (kWh) or 4.17 trillion kWh of electricity were generated.

82.1% came from nonrenewable resources: natural gas (35.2%), coal (27.5%) and nuclear (19.4%).

16.4% came from renewable resources: hydropower (7%), wind (6.5%), solar (1.5%) and biomass (1.4%).

1.5% came from other.

I think electric cars and evolving technology is great but this came as a surprise to me and wanted to share my findings. I was quite surprised how high coal production is and nuclear is still a large component too.

Just remember that the electric car isn't as green as it seems.
